Persistently pedalling in life

Ridefulness

Just one pedal at time…

Just keep pedalling… No matter how much it hurts, how much longer you have to go, how steep it is or how badly you want to quit. The knocking thoughts that fill our mind as we ride up mountainous routes. Yet, we can shut the door to the thoughts, silence the mind and just centre our concentration to riding, pushing one pedal at a time…Persistence is continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

Am I persistent in my life?

Where am I strong in and where am I weak in? Where do I lack? Where do I excel? With introspectiveness, I am persistent in fitness, cycling performance, health choices, creative designs and travelling to countries…I then realised, it’s actually not the area that generates my persistence… There is a common thread that links everything together.

I am persistent in growth.

I am persistent to do better. I am persistent to take the opportunity to increase my capacity to go further in life. By being persistent in growth, weaves across the essentials of my life: health, relationship, work and purpose.

I am persistent in many facets of my life because I don’t want to give up or wind down my potential. I don’t want to stop, I want to keep moving. Continue to push when the circumstances are against me. I don’t want to break down at the first sign of struggle and hardship. I want to preserve and stand firm when I’m tested.

This is where I can strengthen my beliefs and values as my foundation to persist over the negativity. It’s a commitment and persistence that sets me apart from the past, present and future. Dealing with what I currently face and not to weaver in my actions and decisions. I refuse to be torn down or reluctantly step in the direction because of doubt.

Set up to go to further

If I need to do it again and again until it happens then I will close the door to the negative thinking to silence the mind and centre myself for persistence. And if it doesn’t happen the first time, it’s just one way and there is another way if I can seek to learn to continue.

Being persistent in growth drives me closer to where I want to go and who I am visioning to be. It leads me towards the person, the character, the attitude that fills me and believes in me to be true. I can boldly declare and go because the purpose of growth changes my resistance to persistence.

Learn to be persistent

From my experiences in cycling and life, here are a few tips to help be persistent.

  • Patient endurance to go through with the journey you set yourself.
  • Don’t focus on the current limits of yourself. See the future potential for surpassing your limits.
  • Be deliberate to review, renew and refresh your vision for clarity.
  • Be glad for exploring and changing areas of your life as it lights up a greater path of living.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I love sharing my experiences of cycling and hope you enjoy the cycling experiences.
